The heat is on; isolated thunderstorm chances

90-degree temperatures and dew points in the 70s for this last full weekend in August. Excessive Heat Watch in effect for central and southern Minnesota. There is a chance for thunderstorms late Saturday into Sunday morning. Best chance for severe weather comes Monday night.

Fair forecast: Clouds decreasing; hot, humid weekend

Expect isolated rain showers early Friday, with decreasing cloud cover. Moisture will move north as dew points return to the 60s. Hot and humid conditions are still on track for the first weekend of the fair.

Beautiful start to the State Fair; warmup on the way

Temperatures remain slightly cooler for Thursday, with seasonal temperatures for Friday. We will see our dew points increasing with warm air moving in for the weekend and highs returning to the 90s.
