Frost and freeze advisories Friday morning; drought expands
Get ready for the first frost of the year for much of central Minnesota. And freeze warnings are flying farther north. Temperatures will fall into the lower 30s in the far north early Friday morning.

Gov. Tim Walz authorized the Minnesota National Guard to provide aid in response to an emergency request from North Carolina officials. Minnesota utility companies, law enforcement agencies and fire departments are sending additional help.
