Vikings election week picks

Minnesota Momentum, the "grass roots" campaign run out of Winter Park to help build support for a stadium, has some election advice for Minnesotans. They've blasted out an email asking fans to support legislators who voted "Yes" for a stadium when they go to the polls on Tuesday. New stadium “listening sessions” set for Rochester, Duluth

The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority has set the dates and times for its Vikings stadium "listening sessions" in Rochester and Duluth. The Rochester event will be at the DoubleTree Hotel on Nov. 13, and the Duluth event will be at the Holiday Inn downtown. Both are Tuesday night meetings scheduled to run from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

Odds don’t look good for Vikings ticket lottery plan

The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority put and end today on one of the more obscure twists in last spring's stadium drama: a plan to help finance the stadium with a Vikings ticket lottery. It turns out, according to a staff report, that it's probably more trouble than its worth.

Stadium Authority October 25th meeting live blog

E-pulltabs: What we know now

Express Games Jon Weaver says his iPad-based electronic pull-tabs collected their 1 millionth dollar of wagers last night at the Power House bar in Proctor. In financial terms, that's barely even a drop in the bucket. The state projected earlier this year that the games would rake in $1.3 billion in NEW sales annually.

What’s REALLY under the Dome?

The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority had its first public meeting tonight on the environmental evaluation of the proposed $1B stadium project where the Metrodome now stands. Dome officials expect big rocks will be the most interesting discovery.

Lambeau gets more green

The NFL's stadium financing program is getting closer to Minnesota -- it just made a $58 million stop in Green Bay. The league has approved that figure for the Packers, the team said today. That loan is to be repaid out of "visiting team share" of club seat revenue in the league's new and renovated stadium financing program. The Vikings are counting on a $200 million contribution from the program to pay about 42 percent of its $477 million share of the new $1B stadium.
