Dec. 12 update on COVID-19 in MN: Deaths delivering a grim December
Minnesota health officials reported 67 more COVID-19 deaths on Saturday, pushing the December death toll to 766. It’s now killing Minnesotans at a rate far higher than any recent flu season; about one-third of all recent deaths in Minnesota are tied to COVID-19.
December temperatures have been averaging 9 to 12 degrees warmer than normal across much of Minnesota, according to retired University of Minnesota climatologist and meteorologist Mark Seeley.
