South St. Paul educator named Minnesota Teacher of the Year
Jessica Davis, who has been dedicated to helping all students see themselves as successful in the classroom, in professional fields and as community leaders, is the 55th teacher to receive the award.

The Minnesota Twins begin a road trip Friday night when they take on the Yankees in New York. They are leaving town after a home stand in which they won six out of seven games.
In 1970, Joe Cocker, Leon Russell and 25 other musicians shared a stage for the first live show at a bus station-turned-venue called The Depot. That club eventually became famous as First Avenue.
The news for horse racing has not been good over the past few months. Twenty-three horses have died at the Santa Anita race track in California since December. Most were euthanized after suffering severe leg injuries during a race.
