In July 2016, St. Anthony, Minn., police officer Jeronimo Yanez fatally shot Philando Castile during a traffic stop in Falcon Heights, a St. Paul suburb. The world watched the aftermath, live on Facebook. Yanez was charged in Castile's death. Jurors found him not guilty on all charges on June 16, 2017.

Feds to assess St. Anthony police in wake of Castile shooting
The city will be the 16th to enter into a collaborative reform process with the department's Office of Community Oriented Policing Services, which works to help police departments around the country advance community policing.

Chief Jon Mangseth didn't answer questions about the shooting or the officer involved. But he announced the Department of Justice will review the St. Anthony Police Department.
No plea for officer charged in Castile shooting
St. Anthony police officer Jeronimo Yanez made a brief, initial court appearance Friday after being charged with manslaughter in the July shooting death of Philando Castile. He is due back in court Dec. 19.
