Metro rain to snow tonight, plowable up north

A decent burst of wet snowflakes may leave a slushy coating in parts of the Twin Cities before the snow tapers later tonight. Warm ground will eat away at what snow falls overnight.

First metro flakes? Clipper brings rain/snow mix Wed.

A weaker clipper may sideswipe Minnesota Friday. Temperatures will hover near the critical freezing point for possible rain/snow mixes. The longer-range maps hint at persistent cold the next two weeks.
