An unusually strong low pressure system for late July is swirling through Ontario, Canada today. The strong pressure gradient around the spinning low will crank up gale force winds across Minnesota and Lake Superior.
AM downpours, storms possible this afternoon
Our morning round of storms dumped torrential rainfall at the rate of nearly 3 inches per hour in the Twin Cities. Flash flooding and ponding of water has messed with the morning commute.
