Minnesota will see some periods of rain this Sunday and Sunday night, with a few thunderstorms in the mix at times. The driest spot in Minnesota this Sunday will be in the northeast, where they probably won't see any showers until late Sunday afternoon.
On Sunday, periods of showers and a few thunderstorms are a good bet for much of Minnesota, although north-central and northeastern Minnesota could have a dry day.
There could be some showers and thunderstorms at times on Sunday and Sunday evening in about the southern two-thirds of Minnesota. The best chance of thunderstorms in eastern Minnesota and the Twin Cities metro area would be Sunday afternoon and evening.
A nearby high-pressure system will bring pleasant weather to Minnesota this Friday and most of Saturday. Southwestern Minnesota could see some scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm late Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening.
A high-pressure system will spread over Minnesota on Friday, then drift slowly eastward on Saturday. The result will be dry weather for all of Minnesota on Friday and for most of Minnesota on Saturday.
Some spots in Minnesota and western Wisconsin could also see an afternoon or evening thunderstorm. Looking ahead, an isolated shower is possible in most parts of Minnesota this weekend, mainly during the afternoon and early evening hours.
For the southern half of Minnesota, Wednesday will bring two separate shots of rain. The first area of storms has already developed and has spread through west central and southwestern Minnesota.
