Shower chance lingers in eastern Minnesota on Monday

Many of us heard thunder, and rain on the roof, as we went to bed Sunday night.

Some spots saw generous rains Sunday and Sunday night.

One impressive Sunday rain total came from Alexandria, Minnesota, where they measured 2.9 inches of rain!

Monday rain chances

Occasional showers are possible in eastern Minnesota on Monday, and some spots could see a thunderstorm.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's North American Mesoscale forecast model shows the potential Monday rain pattern:

Minnesota highs will be mostly in the 70s on Monday:

Twin Cities metro area highs are expected to be near 80 Tuesday through Thursday of this week.
