Minnesota has added another nationally renowned best chef to its food scene. Karyn Tomlinson of Myriel in St. Paul has been honored as one of this year’s best new chefs by Food & Wine magazine.
Her food was described as “hyperlocal, soul-satisfying, nostalgic dishes that channel ‘grandma chic.’”
Tomlinson has also been nominated several times for the James Beard Best Midwest Chef award.
Tomlinson spoke about the honor on Appetites with MPR host Tom Crann.
