American Airlines faces a discrimination suit after removing 8 Black men from flight
Neither passenger knew each other, nor were they seated together on the Jan. 5 flight from Phoenix to New York. A lawsuit alleges they were removed from the flight after a complaint about body odor.
The Minnesota Historical Society announced Tuesday that it will repatriate a rope to the Prairie Island Indian Community that was used in the largest single-day mass execution in U.S. history. The item is known as “the Mankato Hanging Rope” and was used in the hanging of one of the 38 Dakota men executed following the U.S.-Dakota War of 1862. And new statewide Office of American Indian Health was ceremonially launched today at Minnesota's Capitol.
