Summer hits stride, cooler by the lake
Our forecast looks quiet through Saturday as a bubble of weak high pressure drifts overhead. By Sunday a weak low pressure system drifts in from Canada triggering a few scattered thundershowers.
Summer’s finest? Aurora watch
It will be worth a look tonight to see if northern lights appear. The increasingly bright waxing moon will limit viewing. I have my doubts we'll see a show comparable to Monday's nights amazing display.
A quiet summer day
Mother Nature will deliver a nice day in our neck of the woods, as sunshine mixes with clouds today.
Severe thunderstorm watch until 9 a.m. CDT for southern Minnesota
Strong to severe storms are likely to track through the southern third of Minnesota through 9 a.m. CDT.   Of particular concern early this morning is the storm moving along I-90 in far southern Minnesota. Be prepared for winds that could gust to greater than 60 MPH from Fairmont east to LaCrosse, Wis.
