Heaviest 2- to 4-inch rains south; metro rain all day

Radars are glowing green and yellow today as expected from the Twin Cities southward. Overnight and early morning radar trends support keeping the heaviest (flooding) rain zone south and east of the Twin Cities.

Flash flood watch: 2 to 4 inches-plus south of metro?

Expect potentially heavy rain Thursday from the Twin Cities south. Several inches of rain is likely, with the heaviest rainfall bands (and highest flood potential) favoring southern Minnesota.
