Dodging showers today
It still looks like the heaviest rainfall centers on southern Minnesota today. A muggy air mass brings scattered showers and T-Storms to parts of the state.
Free AC, dangerous swimming in Lake Superior
AC units may get a break across Minnesota later today. A temporary infusion of cooler and drier air from Canada oozes south into Minnesota for the next 48 hours. You may even be tempted to sleep with the windows open tonight.
Cooler Tuesday, Minneapolis #2 on Climate Disruption Index
Think climate change impacts coastal cities most? Think again. According to The Weather Channels new Climate Disruption Index, the Twin Cities rank among the highest cities affected by climate changes. Minneapolis comes in at #2, behind only New Orleans. St. Paul comes in at #8.
Tallying up Sunday storms
Sunday's swath of severe thunderstorms left a trail of wind damage, heavy rainfall and nearly continuous lightning from near Fargo through the Brainerd lakes area all the way down I-94 into the metro.
