Snow Tuesday mainly south of Twin Cities; several inches likely Thursday
We’re still 48 hours away from the bulk of Thursday’s system, so snowfall projections will likely still shift. Most forecast models suggest a wide swath of between 3 and 6 inches of fresh powder across much of Minnesota by Friday morning.
Shovelable snow possible Thursday; temps set to fall
Several systems are set to move across the Upper Midwest this week, providing multiple chances for snowfall just in time for the holiday. Temperatures begin with above-average highs then cool to more seasonable levels and drop again by the end of the week.

Mild temperatures Sunday night will lead to a warm Monday, with highs ranging 5 to 10 degrees above average. Seasonal temperatures are expected on Wednesday, before a colder airmass moves in to close out the week. Several weather systems will impact Minnesota this week, bringing minor snow accumulations.

Our wintry mix of sleet, freezing rain, and snow will come to an end Saturday night as the system moves eastward. Meanwhile, warm air will continue to flow in, with temperatures rising into the mid-30s by Sunday and lasting into Monday.
