The recent cold snap has made for a good harvest of ice blocks on Green Lake -- the source for the ice that will be used to construct a 70-foot-tall ice palace in St. Paul later this month.
Our Thursday highs will be in the single digits above zero for most of Minnesota, with below-zero highs in parts of the far north. Lows early Friday could reach the 20s below zero in the far north, with single digits below zero in the south.
