Temperatures below freezing Sunday night followed by a warmup Monday
Temperatures will dip below freezing across the state Sunday night, with mostly clear skies. A dramatic warm-up is expected Monday, reaching the mid 60s with increasing southerly winds. Our next storm system will arrive Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing accumulating snow to the region.
Quiet, cooler Sunday; warming to the 60s on Monday
After a busy weather day on Saturday, cooler and calmer conditions will settle in for Sunday. Temperatures will be slightly below the seasonal average, but warmer air will return by Monday. A new weather system is expected to develop midweek, bringing the potential for accumulating snowfall to portions of the state.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation reported heavy snow on roadways in the Brainerd, Grand Rapids and International Falls area. There were also icy roads in southern Minnesota, especially near Marshall.
Latest storm system exits region; seasonal temperatures return Sunday
Our recent storm system continues to push into Ontario, north of the Great Lakes region. Gusty winds continue Saturday night, but the precipitation has ended for most. Seasonal temperatures will return on Sunday, with temperatures in the 60s expected by Monday.
