The U.S. Senate could vote as early as this week on several of President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet appointments.

Among the nominees are three figures from neighboring states:

  • Doug Burgum, former North Dakota governor, nominated for interior secretary.

  • Sean Duffy, former Wisconsin Republican congressman and Fox News host, nominated for transportation secretary.

  • Kristi Noem, South Dakota governor, nominated for Homeland Security secretary.
