Schools across the state are still finalizing plans for the return of classes this fall. For districts where students will be coming back into the classroom, at least in some capacity, there's a lot of pressure on school nurses.
The health office will likely be the first line of defense for students and staff who are feeling ill, and nurses are busy preparing for any number of scenarios as COVID-19 case numbers continue to fluctuate.
