Minnesota’s horse racing tracks are gearing up for an unusual season this year. They will have to pare back operations and try to reach fans remotely but are still hoping to run dozens of races.
In the final hours of the legislative session, state lawmakers passed a bill reducing the number of days required to operate a horse racing club. The bill was designed to help Minnesota’s horse racing tracks reopen after Gov. Walz’s stay-at-home order expired.
