There is a shortage of doctors and physicians in the U.S. Meanwhile, the cost of medical school tuition has skyrocketed. New York University recently announced they would offer free tuition to their medical students. Should more universities follow suit?

MPR News host Kerri Miller talked to two experts about what it would take to make medical school tuition-free.

Guest 1: Dr. Elizabeth Rosenthal is a physician, editor-in-chief of Kaiser Health News and author of "An American Sickness."

Guest 2: Dr. Deborah Powell is a physician, dean emerita at the University of Minnesota Medical School and a professor at the University of Minnesota.
