President Trump spoke before the U.N. for the first time as president this week. In Tuesday's address before a room full of world leaders, Trump bragged about the US economy, threatened to "totally destroy" North Korea, said that he will continue to put America first and encouraged other nations to put their own interests first as well.

For this week's Friday Roundtable, MPR News host Kerri Miller asks three experts in international affairs to size up the president's speech and reaction to it from around the world.

Guests:

John Radsan, law professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law

Laura Bloomberg, dean at the University of Minnesota's Humphrey School of Public Affairs

James von Geldern, human rights lawyer and chair of Russian Studies at Macalester College in St. Paul
