President Trump will announce his final decision on the Paris Climate Agreement this afternoon.

I will be announcing my decision on Paris Accord, Thursday at 3:00 P.M. The White House Rose Garden. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

It is expected that he will pull out of the deal.

That move would make America one of only three nations within the UN framework who haven't signed on to the deal, the other two are Syria and Nicaragua.

Many global leaders are encouraging Mr. Trump to stick to the Paris Agreement.

The US is the world's largest economy and is one of the globe's biggest emitters of greenhouse gases.

Germany and China have reaffirmed their commitment to the combating climate change, regardless of the US decision.

Pressure is building on the right for Mr. Trump to advocated for the US to stay within the agreement when he met with the President on Wednesday.

Richard Alley, professor at Penn State University's Earth and Environmental Systems Institute, joined MPR host Kerri Miller for a conversation about President Trump's decision ahead of this afternoon's announcement.
