The number of homeless people in Minnesota has risen sharply over the past three years, according to a study released Wednesday by the Wilder Foundation.
About 7,000 low-income families with a disabled parent or child could lose most of their welfare benefits later this year, changes that are part of Gov. Tim Pawlenty's proposal to fix the state's $1 billion deficit, and parents living in poverty say the cuts would be disastrous.
More than two dozen Muslims and their
supporters rallied across from Apollo High School in St. Cloud in
support of students who attend St. Cloud schools.
