Dry start to the State Fair turns very soggy

The State Fair began nice and dry with warm temperatures but took a soggy turn on day two. Rainfall has been near normal over the past couple months, but that varies widely across the state.

Rain overwhelms much of state, but at least it's cooler

We've had near historic heat for the growing season this year. May was nearly 6 degrees higher than normal on a statewide basis, while June was nearly 3 degrees above normal.
