MMMBop inspired 'SNL' skit
"MMMBop" got so much airplay when it first came out that it inspired a skit on "Saturday Night Live." In it, the brothers were held hostage in an elevator and forced to listen to the song repeatedly until they snapped.
Stevie Wonder honored Duke Ellington in a song that hit No. 1
In a 1977 speech at UCLA, Wonder said, "I knew the title from the beginning but wanted it to be about the musicians who did something for us. So soon they are forgotten. I wanted to show my appreciation. They gave us something that is supposed to be forever."
In addition to composing the music, Cloud Cult leader and Duluth native Craig Minowa co-wrote the screenplay. It's the story of a woman who goes on a pilgrimage after a reminder from her past changes how she views her life.
Swedish Academy has received Bob Dylan's Nobel lecture
The Swedish Academy says it has received the required lecture from the 2016 Nobel Literature winner Bob Dylan, enabling the American singer to collect 8 million Swedish kronor ($922,000) in prize money.
