Today's Morning Edition music is from Alanis Morissette with "You Learn" from her acclaimed 1995 album "Jagged Little Pill."

The album is being turned into a stage musical. It will debut at Cambridge's American Repertory in a year.

Diablo Cody, who wrote the Oscar-winning screenplay for the movie "Juno," will be fleshing out the story. It revolves around a multi-generational family and their complex dynamics, touching on issues of gender identity and race.

Cody, who started her writing career in the Twin Cities, said in a statement, "I am so excited to tell a modern story through these iconic songs."
