Legislature pushes ahead on budget bills
The Minnesota Legislature got back to work Wednesday afternoon after missing a self-imposed 7 a.m. deadline to finish. The special session will continue into Thursday and perhaps beyond.
The Legislature went into special session after time ran out last night with work unfinished on a new state budget.
The jobs-energy omnibus bill passed by the Legislature contains several energy provisions that various stakeholder groups have opposed. Gov. Mark Dayton has not yet indicated whether he will sign it, though GOP leaders said they worked with the governor's staff to find compromise language.
