A federal grand jury in Minnesota has indicted Republican political operative Anton J. Lazzaro on child sex trafficking charges. Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office allege that Lazzaro, 30, conspired with others to recruit and solicit six people under the age of 18 to engage in commercial sex between May and December of 2020.

Minnesota approximately 40,000 state employees will face a choice after Labor Day: They’ll either have to prove they’ve been vaccinated for COVID-19 or submit to weekly testing to be back in the office.

Gov. Tim Walz said Tuesday a vaccination requirement for Minnesota’s approximately 40,000 state workers is on the table as his administration negotiates a plan for the return of those employees to offices and other facilities throughout Minnesota.
Walz said he expects to announce a plan in the coming days.

The investigation continues into a Saturday plane crash that killed three people in Carver County. The plane crashed and burst into flames at about 5:40 p.m. Saturday near a home in Victoria, Minn. All three people aboard the plane died; no one on the ground was injured.
