Minnesota's Court of Appeals has upheld Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin's second-degree murder conviction for the May 2020 killing of George Floyd.
Responding to a 911 call early Thursday afternoon, police saw four American pit bull terriers attacking the man, 22, outside his home. Police say the incident remains under investigation and it’s too soon to say whether prosecutors will file criminal charges.
The Minneapolis City Council voted Thursday morning to amend the city's noise ordinance to allow mosques to broadcast the call to prayer five times a day.
