In Winona, a watched bridge outfitted for tests
A picturesque Winona highway bridge that Minnesota transportation officials are deciding how to rehabilitate or replace gets some new gear this week.
A national chain of arts and crafts stores has agreed to pay $35,000 to a former employee of its store in Rochester, Minn., in response to allegations that the woman was discriminated against because she used a wheelchair.
Meetings are scheduled this week in the Minnesota communities of Roseau and Oslo. Others are scheduled next month in Lakota, Devils Lake, Langdon, Pembina and in Morris, Manitoba.
A free pharmaceutical collection program kicks off Thursday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Snyders drugstore in Mankato. A second collection is scheduled for Nov. 5, from 2-6 p.m.
