Pianist Stephen Hough is recording all of Tchaikovsky's works for piano and orchestra with the Minnesota Orchestra for Hyperion. He is a performer with a strong inner compass, and much of that comes from a devout religious faith.
A new life for an old church
A little 19th Century limestone church near Kenyon is slowly coming back to life. The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis boarded up St. Rose of Lima in 1961, and there it sat unused for nearly 50 years. But a special mass will be held at St. Rose today. There was one last year, too, thanks in part to community volunteer Jill Palof. Cathy Wurzer spoke with her in 2008.
