What's next for Minnesota schools?
Gov. Tim Walz on Thursday announced his nuanced guidelines for how districts should start school in the fall — by reopening classrooms, continuing distance learning or implementing a combination of the two — all based on COVID-19 case data. The plan emphasized student and school staff health and safety, but also emphasized the importance of classroom learning.
Many districts have yet to make a decision about the coming semester. MPR News host Angela Davis continues a three-hour special unpacking the state’s guidelines. The previous 90 minutes can be heard on the MPR News with Kerri Miller podcast.
