It has become painfully obvious that there is no returning to normal anytime soon. On Thursday, Gov. Tim Walz extended the stay-at-home order in Minnesota until May 18. Summer favorites are up in the air. No one is sure how school will happen next year.

Most government and health officials say it’s not realistic to live in quarantine until we find a vaccine for COVID-19. But how do we balance public health, economic viability and even happiness?
