A man was shot and wounded by a sheriff’s deputy in western Minnesota on Wednesday evening after authorities said the man attempted to flee from arrest.
A man wanted for a 2021 killing in Minnesota — who was mistakenly released from custody in Indiana earlier this month — was arrested Wednesday in the Twin Cities.
Democratic U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey, his wife and two businessmen have pleaded not guilty to federal charges in a case accusing the senator of pocketing bribes of cash and gold bars.

Kevin Mason was arrested in Indianapolis on three warrants — including murder — accused of killing Dontevius A. Catchings, 29, in June 2021 outside a Minneapolis church after the funeral of a mutual friend.
The indictment accuses Menendez and his wife of accepting "hundreds of thousands of dollars of bribes in exchange for using" the senator's power and influence.
University of Minnesota officials on Thursday acknowledged that a data breach initially reported last month exposed personal information on students, potential students and employees from 1989 to 2021, including Social Security numbers.
