David Johansen, singer from the seminal punk band the New York Dolls, dies at 75
David Johansen, the wiry, gravelly-voiced singer and last surviving member of the glam and protopunk band the New York Dolls, has died. Johansen, who later performed as his campy, pompadoured alter ego, Buster Poindexter, was 75.

A judge has continued to block President Donald Trump’s plan to pull federal funding from institutions that provide gender-affirming care for transgender youth. U.S. District Court Judge Lauren King in Seattle issued the permanent injunction late Friday.
