Periods of rain and thunder
Expect highs in the mid to upper 70s in the Twin Cities metro area. Highs Saturday will be in the upper 60s over northern Minnesota, around 70 in the south.
Showers and thunderstorms at times
Periods of rain, and a few thunderstorms, are expected on Friday. The severe thunderstorm risk shifts to far southeastern Minnesota for Friday and Friday night.
Severe weather outlook
There is plenty of juicy air out ahead of the cold front, so thunderstorms are expected to become more numerous with time. Periods of thunderstorms are also expected overnight.

Periods of thunderstorms are expected Thursday night into Friday, and some severe weather will be possible. It'll be much cooler this weekend, with highs in the 70s.

The National Weather Service says there's a slight risk of severe weather through the remainder of this afternoon and tonight for much of central and southern Minnesota, including the Twin Cities.

Our gorgeous weekend weather continued into Monday, and no complaints were heard.
