Death Valley records hottest month ever on Earth
The weather station at Furnace Creek has recorded the hottest month ever reliably measured on Earth. July's average monthly temperature of 108 degrees breaks the July record of 107.4 degrees set just last year.
A nice end to July; thunderstorm chance spreads south into Wednesday
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible in far northern Minnesota late this afternoon and this evening, and that rain chance expands through the remainder of northern Minnesota and into central Minnesota overnight.
