A wildfire near Brimson in the northeastern part of the state, broke out Sunday and is still burning. By Monday morning, it had already spread to an estimated 750 acres.
“Some pretty aggressive fire behavior as those fields were fanned by the heat, the low humidity and the winds that we were experiencing yesterday,” said Leanne Langeberg, public information officer for the Minnesota Interagency Fire Center.
Langeberg spoke with MPR News host Cathy Wurzer about the fire and fire safety on Monday’s Morning Edition.
