Minnesotans around the state have been waking up to foggy, dewy weather so far this November as rain hangs over the state. 

“In fact, probably the most widespread fog of the season so far is evident across the landscape this morning,” said climatologist and meteorologist Mark Seeley on Friday’s Morning Edition. 

Temperatures have averaged 6 to 8 degrees Fahrenheit above normal, making this season one of the warmest meteorological falls in state history. But that doesn’t mean it will stay that way. Seeley warned in his weather chat with MPR News guest host Phil Picardi that mid-November to December is peak “freezing rain season.”
