Today in Fargo-Moorhead: No cease-fire resolution from Fargo City Commissioners

The rest of Tuesday will be breezy and partly sunny with a high near 49. Showers are possible, but we’ll skip out on the snow southwest Minnesota is seeing.

A blustery overnight brings us to a mostly sunny Wednesday with a high just above 50. Sunny skies and high temperatures in the mid- to upper-50s are in store through at least Saturday.

A Fargo cease-fire resolution did not pass Monday at the city commission meeting, not receiving enough support from commissioners.

From the Fargo Forum: After a truck crash near I-94 Tuesday morning, a heavy police presence is in the Lewis and Clark neighborhood in south Fargo.

The six member nations of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe are voting in primary elections Tuesday. Two candidates from each race for leadership positions will advance to the general election in June.

Events

Moorhead golf courses open this week. Driving ranges at Village Green open at 9 a.m. Wednesday; the course will open 11 a.m. Friday.

There are plenty of cooking and DIY classes at the 1889 this week.

Extreme basketball fans: The Harlem Globetrotters come to the Scheels Center on Tuesday. A live show on ghost hunting is at the Fargo Theatre on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, an open mic night is at Black Coffee and Waffle Bar to celebrate spring.

Thursday is karaoke night at The Four & Four.
