According to meteorologist and climatologist Mark Seeley, a record from Feb. 1939 still stands, when Pigeon River in Cook County saw 51 inches of fresh snow.
MPR News host Cathy Wurzer talked with Seeley about that record, this week’s snowfall, and the weekend weather ahead.
