An MPR listener noticed that this spring has seemed windier than normal, and wanted to know whether that was actually the case.
Looking into it, retired University of Minnesota climatologist and meteorologist Mark Seeley found that a third of days in March saw wind gusts over 35 mph, and nearly half the days in April did, too. So far, May has been somewhat quieter.
Seeley talked about the winds – and the weather – with MPR News host Cathy Wurzer in their weekly chat.
