Longtime Twin Cities advertising executive Betty Burmeister passed away last month at the age of 99.

Burmeister was shaping major campaigns during the “Mad Men” era, when very few women held executive roles. She continued the work well into her 80s.

MPR News host Cathy Wurzer talked with daughter-in-law Wendy Webb about Burmeister’s remarkable life and career.
