Twin Cities Archbishop Bernard Hebda will lead a memorial service Saturday for a renowned member of Minnesota's legal community: former Hennepin County Attorney Tom Johnson. Johnson was a fierce criminal justice advocate and most recently served as ombudsman for victims of Catholic clergy abuse.

Johnson died Monday after a six-year battle with prostate cancer. Throughout his career, he strived to reduce racial disparities and worked tirelessly for victims of sexual abuse. MPR News host Cathy Wurzer spoke with retired Hennepin County Judge Pamela Alexander about Johnson’s work and life.
