The number of people currently hospitalized with COVID-19 is approaching 500 for the first time in Minnesota, according to numbers released Thursday.
Meanwhile, the number of people in intensive care — a key measure of the stress on our healthcare system — has now topped 200 in the state. Many of those patients are being treated at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul.
As a COVID-19 specialty center, Bethesda has seen some of the worst of the virus, but also remarkable stories of recovery. For more on the situation there, MPR News host Cathy Wurzer talked with Dr. Andrew Olson, who treats patients at Bethesda.
