Minnesota’s effort to contain coronavirus is prompting swift action from the state Legislature. A bipartisan bill — which would free up about $25 million dollars for a public health contingency account — could be headed to Gov. Tim Walz within days.
Meanwhile, the governor intends to present his plan this week for divvying up a projected $1.5 billion dollar surplus. MPR News host Cathy Wurzer spoke with politics reporter Brian Bakst for a look ahead at the week in state politics.
