Man dies in Minneapolis shooting

A man died after being shot in Minneapolis early Saturday.

Police said it happened just before 1 a.m. on the 3900 block of Humboldt Avenue North.

Officers were notified of a ShotSpotter activation, authorities said in a news release. While they headed to the scene, multiple 911 callers reported a shooting.

"Officers arrived and located an adult male outside suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound," police said. "Officers began emergency aid until they were relieved by paramedics."

The man, who authorities said was in his 30s, died at the scene.

No one was in custody at last report. Police have not released any other information about the shooting.
