Parody artist “Weird Al” Yankovic performs Tuesday night at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand, backed by a full orchestra.
Over the years, Yankovic has written several songs that appeal particularly to Minnesotans – from “Spam” to “The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota.”
Since then, many people who learned about the twine ball from the song have traveled to Darwin, Minnesota to see it. In tribute, the town of Darwin – home to the twine ball – recently renamed an alley near the attraction “Weird Alley,” in Yankovic’s honor.
